Day 3 : Building Momentum

One day at a time, one word after another

Today, December 7th, I awoke rested and in a positive, good mood. I put on some relaxing music, stretched, and got right into my routine of a quick clean-up, reciting of my affirmations, and taking a look over my accountability wall.

I made a simple breakfast of old-fashioned oats, butter, half of a banana, peanut butter, a spoon of brown sugar, some flax seeds and chia seeds, with a drizzle of honey on top. I’ve been listening to Bob Proctor lately, so I put on the second part of his seminar and got busy doing other small tasks.

Some time later, I decided it would be a great time to get some air and take a nice walk, so I got dressed, grabbed my coat and hat, and did just that. No rushing, just being in the moment on my walk, and I’m already downtown in the financial district. I snapped a few photos and continued my quest.

Approaching the ferry building now, I changed course, hopped on the bus, and thought to myself, “The farmers market is today!” So that’s where I’m headed. A bustling place, many faces and colors. I walked and gazed before deciding on some nice red bell peppers which I could use for tonight’s dinner. After securing those and taking a few more pictures, I jumped on the tram and remembered I needed more H2O, so off to Target I go.

A few moments later, a cashier is handing me my bag and I’m in and out. One bus home and I’m right on time — my total travel time not even a whole five minutes. I smile. What a good day, I think, as I exit the bus.

I cooked dinner, chilled and journaled, ate, and now I’m writing all this on my phone in the Medium app. See, I can write, and I prove that to myself every day. I’m grateful for this app — it has given me a space.

To whomever reads my pages, I hope it delights and interests you. I’m doing the thing I told myself many days I couldn’t, but now that has all changed.
