Monday, December 8th, I started my morning at 5am. The sound of my made-up ringtone sounds like gentle rain. My mentality is positive, and my affirmations are becoming automatic now.
There is a slight thought of “just sleep in till 5:30.” I quickly say to myself, “That’s not my aim and doesn’t help me become the person I’m building.” I get moving, perform my warm-up for 10 minutes, and look over my workout log, and at 5:15am I get right to it!
4 sets of 12 goblet squats, 4 sets of 12 pushups, 4 sets of 12 elevated pushups, 4 sets of 12 DB shoulder presses followed by 4 sets of 12 diamond pushups. 5:50am and I’m done. I check off my logs, happy with myself and my body. I smile and head for the shower, out by 6:15. My routine has improved in speed since last week.
I forgot to put my soy milk in the fridge, so no granola and bananas this morning. I opt for 4 eggs and some leftover ground beef with peppers and onions — a delicious combo, I must say. I sit in quietness, say my grace, and scarf my creation down like a madman. And because it was absolutely delicious, I have extra time, so I set the mood for my day mentally. Self-talk is, well, very important to me.
As 7am approaches, I get dressed (only lower body), go floss, brush my teeth, and wash my face again. Finish off the upper, grab my lunch and water before dashing out. I look over my wall and see that I have a note for “take your multivitamin and folic acid,” and I’m done and I’m off.
I usually take the bus, but looking at Apple Maps, my destination is in walking distance. I decide to get some cardio and walk. Fresh cold air in San Francisco is quite invigorating. My steps glide as I walk, my coat flows almost as a cape, and my posture is strong. I am strong both mentally and physically.
I usually listen to a repeated speech by Napoleon Hill on my way to work. It’s very informative and uplifting. I’ve changed over these last 3 months, and it’s been for the better. I am responsible! I am responsible for everything that has and will happen to me. I hold myself accountable. I don’t blame, and I don’t complain. My discipline is strong, and my habits are locked and produce what I want in my world.
I’ve changed; I’ve changed my mind. I have burned the bridge of going back. I’ve come too far. I will not, I cannot, and I am loving the person I’ve become. Every day and in every way I am feeling better and better. I am capable. I don’t hesitate. I don’t drift. I am decisive, and I am swift.
