Today I continue to hold myself accountable. I am committed to giving 30 consecutive days of writing no matter what. It might not all make sense at the very moment, but this exercise gives me a blank sheet every day to put something down.
Today, December 6th, I have woken up thankful, with affirmations in mind, and practicing the “move first, think later” philosophy. I had a few errands to take care of: laundry day and a few small things to grab from Trader Joe’s, then home to put away laundry and start meal prep for the next few days.
With that completed, I have embarked on a great walk to the waterfront Embarcadero across town to the Giants Stadium, stopping for a quick bite at a nearby Taco Bell, and I’m off again. Along the way, I have been listening to a very informative seminar by Bob Proctor. I try to keep my attention on things that will help me build the kind of person I’m becoming.
Sidebar: I have taken a slew of pictures of landscapes, landmarks, and whatever else catches my eye. I enjoy photography as well, and the only way to get better is — you guessed it — practice.
I feel really good doing the things I enjoy, even though they’re simple and many might not understand why this small thing is worth mentioning. It is because I have been on a very disciplined, militant journey and have chosen to delay gratification of a lot of simple pleasures in my quest for change. Stages at a time, the changes have come to manifest. I now do the things I used to put off. I believe in myself and I just do it. I’m ready to face whatever comes with being myself. I choose faith over fear. I will continue to do the hard things.
