Fragments #1 — Feelings Don’t Build Futures

A field note on discipline, decisions, and the way sustained effort makes opportunity look like luck.

I’ve watched it behave more like a law.

1. Input → Output

What you put in comes back. Not always immediately. Often bigger than you expected.

2. Present vs Future

I’m holding two realities: what I’m doing today, and what I’m building toward.

The gap is where most people quit.

3. Feelings vs Decisions

Most people do what they feel like doing.

That’s not a moral judgment — just an explanation for why most people stay the same.

4. Positive Mental Attitude

PMA isn’t a quote. It’s fuel.

It determines what you do when you don’t feel like doing anything.

5. Change is real

You can change. It takes work. You have to want it.

The part people “understand” intellectually — but don’t live — is the wanting.

6. My pattern

Every time I fortify discipline, help finds me.

Or what I need appears.

Like life responds to seriousness.

The future has a strange way of meeting people who keep showing up.
